Course Overview

Building Resilience in Your Organisation

This highly interactive training course is about building and improving resilience in your organisation; it's about identifying your key products and services and the most urgent activities that underpin them and then, once that 'analysis' is complete, it is about devising plans and strategies that will enable you to continue your business operations and enable you to recover quickly and effectively from any type of disruption whatever its size or cause.

It gives you a solid framework to utilise in times of crisis and provides stability and security (Business Continuity Institute).

In fact, embedding BCM & DR into your organisation is proven to bring additional benefits to you and your business. The key to a swift recovery is time; the organisation which recovers in the shortest possible time will mitigate its losses to the optimum.

Frequently Asked Questions

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

Answers to the most common questions about building operational resilience and why our certification course is essential for your organization.

Business Continuity (BC) is the broader strategy aimed at ensuring an organization can maintain essential operations during and after a disruptive event. Disaster Recovery (DR) is a focused subset that covers restoring IT infrastructure and data. Our training covers BC fundamentals on Day 1 and DR response on Day 2.
A comprehensive BCM plan includes a Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Risk Assessment, defined Recovery Objectives, response procedures, and regular testing. This ISO-22301 aligned course provides frameworks and templates to effectively implement all these critical elements.
RTO (Recovery Time Objective) is the maximum tolerable downtime for a system before severe business impact occurs. RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is the maximum tolerable period in which data might be lost. Session 3 of our training teaches you exactly how to identify and apply these metrics.
In the event of a ransomware attack or data breach, BCDR plans are vital. They ensure operational resilience, allowing you to maintain business functions manually or via backups while the IT teams safely recover, contain, and remediate the compromised systems without paying ransoms.
While a Business Continuity Manager oversees the strategy, true resilience requires top management commitment, IT and security involvement, HR, supply chain heads, and general employees. BCM is a cross-functional responsibility, which is why cross-departmental attendance is highly recommended.
