Dr Daniel KS Chang

Dr. Daniel is a business development, sustainability, and investment professional with deep expertise in ESG strategy, private investment policy, and green growth. He holds a DBA from IPE Management School (France), an MBA from Charles Sturt University (Australia), and is currently pursuing a second PhD in Mathematical Science focused on public policy for sustainable development. An HRDC-accredited trainer, he has held senior leadership roles including Principal Consultant, Chief Sustainability Officer, and Investment Partner, advising organisations across ASEAN and MENA. Dr. Daniel has delivered 20+ ESG and sustainability programs for leading institutions including TAQA, Etihad Airways, MAADEN, Emirates Global Aluminium, Bank Negara Malaysia, and Bee’ah Group, and is a published author in peer-reviewed international journals on ESG and sustainable investment.

  • Identify and evaluate practical GHG reduction strategies including energy efficiency, LED/HVAC upgrades, green buildings, solar/renewables, circularity, and carbon credits relevant to high emitting GCC sectors
  • Develop a structured and realistic decarbonization roadmap aligned with organizational goals and, where applicable, SBTi near term and long-term pathways
  • Design effective stakeholder engagement strategies to support organization-wide GHG integration across leadership, operations, procurement, suppliers, and external partners
  • Manage Scope 3 emissions by mapping supply chain hotspots, engaging suppliers, and improving the quality and reliability of upstream and downstream carbon data
  • Leverage operational and business data systems to produce accurate, transparent, and decision useful GHG reporting aligned with global disclosure expectations
  • Formulate an actionable implementation plan that integrates GHG management and decarbonization into corporate strategy, governance, procurement, operations, and financial planning
